History:
04/1941 to 11/1942, 309 and 614 Squadrons with army co-operation Lysanders.
12/1942 transferred to the Royal Navy becoming HMS Jackdaw II.
02/1943 to 03/1943 825 Squadron with Swordfish, 04/1943 to 08/1943, 827 Squadron with Barracudas, 12/1943 to 01/1944, 813 Squadron with Swordfish.
02/1943 to 09/1943, 737 Squadron with Walrus amphibians.
Airfield then used for storage until 1946 when it closed although the site was retained by the Navy until sold off in 1957.
