/10/1943 to /07/1945, 612th, 613th, 614th, 615th Bomb Squadrons of the 401st Bomb Group (Heavy), flew 254 combat missions from Deenethorpe airfield losing 95 B-17 Flying Fortress bombers, 401st BG returned to the USA.
/06/1945 to /06/1946, No. 11 Recruitment Centre.
Post-war used for many years by the Royal Observer Corps.
